Rice's Recent Off-Field Troubles
Rice was absent for the first six games of this season following an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Texas roadway that resulted in several individuals injured. He was given a month of incarceration and probationary supervision after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
Statistically, Rice finished the season with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Chiefs finished 6-11 and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a decade.
